Longest weekend of our lives.........

So I'm way late posting this, but here it is...
About 2 months ago we took a trip to the ER cause wee one here wasn't feeling good at all. Throwing up, fever, not sleeping well, and difficulty breathing which worried us most of all. So in the middle of the night we woke up to her screaming. We decide we should take her into the ER right away cause her breathing was very shallow and rapid, with wheezing. We weren't sure what they would do but we definitely didn't think it would turn into this....
A weekend stay in the children's unit at the hospital. Neila had brochiolitis.

Bronchiolitis is a lower respiratory tract infection that occurs in children younger than two years old. It is usually caused by a virus. The virus causes inflammation of the small airways (bronchioles). The inflammation partially or completely blocks the airways, which causes wheezing (a whistling sound heard as the child breathes out). This means that less oxygen enters the lungs, potentially causing a decrease in the blood level of oxygen. Bronchiolitis is a common cause of illness and is the leading cause of hospitalization in infants and young children.

So after dozens of breathing treatments, endless oxygen tubes, steroids, 7 different blown IV's. Lots of crying, (both baby & mom) we were finally able to go home. My poor girl was a fighter. This first picture is Neila on our last day in the hospital soaking it up for all it's worth...(yes she could walk, but why...)

After countless hours & middle of the night rides, she finally fell asleep!!!

Our first day, she was so miserable.

Oh Binzer, I am so sorry to hear that. There is nothing worse than seeing your child in pain, and not being able to do anything about it. So glad that she is doing better now, what a huge scare...I would've been a total mess! She still looked darling even though she was miserable.

P.S. It was fun seeing you at the reunion, we need to get together soon!
